Interproximal contacts are refined on a static (2nd pour) cast of the original master impression. Broad surface contacts are so developed in an all-out effort to make insertion/delivery a breeze for our dentist clients and their patients.

When a crown does not readily seat due to heavy interproximal contacts,  lengthy chairside adjustments in and out of the mouth can cause a patient to question the restoration and perhaps even the competence of the dentist. Think about it..how would you feel if you went to a professional taylor to buy a brand new suit. You get measured (prep & temp) and when you return a few days later for your suit, you find it's too tight. Then the taylor starts cutting at the seams..you get the point.

Wet build-up prior to furnace firing.

A densely packed and precisely contoured build-up ensures proper sintering of the ceramic material, and requires very little adjustment prior to glazing.

To all aspiring ceramists - don't be afraid to carve packed powder, just go easy and don't allow it to dehydrate.

I build my own instruments for carving occlusals. Endo files and cut-outs  from new razor blades make superb carving instruments when placed on handles and finely tuned.

Beautiful anatomical carvings and properly developed and refined occlusal and proximal contacts can always be expected when you deliver a Kraftwerk crown or bridge. This is our trademark, and it is what sets us far apart from the also-rans of an industry that places value upon fast and cheap work.

In this laboratory, every aspect of every case is carefully checked for precision, but porcelain isn't the only thing - our substructures are equally pristine. They are designed to evenly support the porcelain instead of just going through the motions of dipping, sprueing and casting. We don't make copings here, we fashion substrates of superior quality. Intimate, precise fits are routinely achieved via concern for our clients and pride in the work of our hands. Work so fine you can even "feel" the difference. It's our standard of consistent excellence.
