Honorable Discharge from military service: -1984 - This is the most prized possession I own. It is worth more than a boat load of gold. I served this nation proudly and would do so again were I a younger man. The Navy has a fine dental lab program, and I highly recommend it to any aspiring young men & women who want to be dental laboratory technicians.Recently, the dental technician rating was incorporated into the hospital corspman rating. Now the two are one. This is as it should be, for medical and dental worked closely together in every facility I was assigned to during my service.

National Board Certification obtained in 1981. This and about two bucks can get you a large styrofoam cup a' coffee at Dunkin' Donuts..

Know this - life is too short to take yourself seriously. Take your work seriously, but relax a little bit and smell the roses. Take up a musical instrument as a hobby - it's a soothing tonic for the soul and you're missing out on one of life's treasures if you don't at least try playing one. It matters not how old or how talented you are. Tango on..  Have yourself a good cigar once in awhile - Don't be afraid to live fer cryin' out loud - take that Vegas vacation..or buy that fly-rod and learn how to shadow-cast, or get a surf rod & have a go at the stripers on Plum Island in the summertime. When things go awry - laugh it up. You can't control very much in this life. Be thankful when you wake up in the morning, you have another day.   Hold on tight when it's good and let go easy when it ain't..never sweat the small stuff because it's ALL small stuff.   Your gonna be a long time dead - ask any Egyptian..
